QuickList.GetValue

Queries a value in the list.

Parameters

Parameter Description Example

ListRef The reference to the list returned from QuickList.New function. $List

Index The index of the value to get. Must be in range from 0 to QuickList.Count-1. $index

Result

Returns OK or error.

Description

Queries a value in the list.
Using our QuickList functions is much faster than using GetValue(listOfValues;valueNumber) function in FileMaker for large lists.
If you enable tracing with Trace command, this function will be much slower due to the debug output.

Query values from List:

$listID = MBS( "QuickList.New"; "Hello¶World")
$v1 = MBS( "QuickList.GetValue"; $listID; 1)
$v2 = MBS( "QuickList.GetValue"; $listID; 2)
$r = MBS("QuickList.Free"; $listID)
