Text.DecodeFromHex

Decode a hex string.

(old name: String.DecodeFromHex)

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Example	Flags
text	The text to process.	"48656C6C6F20576F726C64"
Encoding	The text encoding for result. Default is native. This function can also handle UTF-16 as well as UTF-16LE and UTF-16BE for little/big endian byte order. Possible encoding names: ANSI, ISO-8859-1, Latin1, Mac, Native, UTF-8, DOS, Hex, Base64 or Windows. More listed in the FAQ.	"UTF-8"	Optional

Returns decoded text.

Decode Hex as UTF-8:

MBS( "Text.DecodeFromHex"; "48656C6C6F20576F726C64"; "utf8" )

Example result: Hello World

Fix encoding of a string:

MBS("Text.DecodeFromHex"; MBS("Text.EncodeToHex"; "<string>Eine Möbel-Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H</string>"; "Native"); "UTF-8")

Example result: <string>Eine Möbel-Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H</string>
