Adds a custom function tooltip.

Parameters

Parameter Description Example
Name The name of the function.
Tooltip The tooltip to show.
Pass "" to remove the tooltip.

Result

Returns OK or error.

Description

Adds a custom function tooltip.
The idea is to have the start script in your solution add tooltips for the custom functions you use in the solutions.

The tooltips are not saved, so they need to be set whenever FileMaker Pro is launched.

Examples

Add a tooltip for MBS function:

MBS("SyntaxColoring.AddCustomFunctionTooltip"; "MBS"; "Best function ever!")

Add a tooltip for GetContainerAttribute function:

MBS("SyntaxColoring.AddCustomFunctionTooltip"; "GetContainerAttribute"; "Returns the file metadata of the specified container field.
Attributes: filename, MD5, storageType, fileSize, internalSize, externalSize, externalFiles, width, height, dpiWidth, dpiHeight, transparency, orientation, created, modified, latitude, longitude, make, model, title, artist, album, year, track, genre, composer, coverArt, duration, bitRate, barcodeText, barcodeType, signed, general, audio, image, photo, barcode, signature, all.")
