MBS( "ShowURL"; URL ) 

**MBS**( **"ShowURL";** /\* Shows an URL. \*/  
**$URL**) /\* The URL to open.e.g. "http://www.filemaker.com/" \*/ 

### Parameters

| Parameter | Description | Example |

| URL | The URL to open. | "http://www.filemaker.com/" |

### Result

Returns "OK" on success.

### Description

Shows an URL.   
Depending on URL the matching client will be launched and passed the URL.   
Similar to FileMaker's Open URL script step, but passes through all schema.  
### Examples

Open MBS Website:

 MBS ("ShowURL"; "http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.com/filemaker/")  
Open Mail client for sending email:

 MBS ("ShowURL"; "mailto:support@monkeybreadsoftware.com")  
Trigger FaceTime call on MacOS using tel URL scheme::

 MBS ("ShowURL"; "tel:+0123456789")  
Open Skype and call someone:

 MBS ("ShowURL"; "skype:UserName")
