Result
Returns a number for the PDF.
Description
Opens a PDF from an URL and returns a PDF Reference value. This value can be used in other PDFKit calls to work on the same PDF.
See also PDFKit.OpenPath and PDFKit.OpenContainer.
PDF Document reference numbers are starting at 30000 and counting up for each new document.
Use PDFKit.Release later to free the memory.
Seems to work for HTTP protocol, too. The Apple frameworks transparently handle this out of the control of the plugin. With HTTPS after redirect from HTTP is also possible. For more control, please use CURL functions.
Examples
Open the PDF with the given URL:
MBS("PDFKit.OpenURL"; "http://www.somedomain.invalid/somepath/test.pdf")
