Container.GetTypeSize

Returns the size of the indicated object type in container field.

Parameters

Parameter Description Example
Container The container field or value to inspect. $container
Type The type code for the type to check. e.g. "JPEG" for a jpeg image. "JPEG"

Description

Returns the size of the indicated object type in container field.
For referenced files, this function will just return the size of the referenced file independent of the type.

See Container.GetTotalSize to query size of all data in a container.

Examples

Get size of PNG image

MBS( "Container.GetTypeSize" ; ContainerField; "PNGf" )

Get the size of a JPEG image

MBS( "Container.GetTypeSize" ; ContainerField; "JPEG" )

Get the size of a TIFF image

MBS( "Container.GetTypeSize" ; ContainerField; "TIFF" )
